ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Ana Arista White works as director of religious education at St. Austin parish in
Austin, Texas. Ana has a degree in Child Development from Eastfield College in Dallas and over 20 years experience in early childhood education. She is the author of several books and booklets on catechesis, including Teach-it: Early Childhood , Catechists for All Children, Catholic Parent Know-How: Preparing Your Child for First Reconciliation and Catholic Parent Know-How: Preparing
Your Child for First Communion.
Joseph D. White, Ph.D. holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from
Virginia Commonwealth University. He has previously worked as both an
early childhood educator and a director of religious education, and is
currently the Director of Catholic Family Counseling and Family Life for
the Diocese of Austin, Texas. He has taught catechetics through the Institute of Religious and Pastoral Studies at the University of Dallas and pastoral guidance trhough the St. Mary School of Theology at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. Joseph is the author of several books and booklets on catechesis, including Seven Secrets of Successful Catechists, Catechist's Companion to the National Directory for Catechesis, andWhat Every Catechist Should Know..
